CASTELLANO GIL, José Manuel. Equipment, use and consumption of tic in students of education in the national university of Costa Rica. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.72, pp. 334-341.  Epub Feb 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

This contribution constitutes a partial study of a larger research project aimed at studying cultural habits and practices in a university context. This article specifically analyzes the appropriation of material of technological equipment, use and consumption of a student population that studied the different careers offered by the Centro de Investigación y Docencia en Educación (CIDE) of the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica (UNA) during the academic period of March 2018. The methodology used is quantitative, descriptive-analytical, based on an instrument designed that includes 14 modules, where two of its sections are devoted to research on equipment and use of new technologies. Among the main conclusions obtained is a very high rate of individual appropriation of technological resources and an outstanding range of Internet access, with an almost balanced use for academic purposes and social networks.
