Abstract

The use of emerging technologies in the teaching-learning process allows the opportunity to apply new strategies within the classroom, making the class more active and participatory; The present investigation allows us to glimpse the use of the smartphone in classes, guidelines to be taken into account for its implementation, different applications that can serve within the classroom of higher education as well as the results obtained from the experiences made in the Metropolitan University of Machala in the application of several apps in classes to improve the activities and interaction of students, as well as their perception in the use of this tool in the teaching-learning process for both teachers and students.
