Abstract

OVALLE BARRETO, Shirley Andrea  and  VASQUEZ FONSECA, Jeimmy Nathaly. Augmented reality, a tool for motivation in learning Geometry. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.75, pp. 56-60.  Epub Aug 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

This article shows how the "Rally Tics" strategy was implemented, with the objective of supporting geometric knowledge in third grade elementary students. That is why visual models were available to perform the activities in a playful way through augmented reality, understood as the possibility offered by the devices to add virtual information to real information. The method is based on participant observation where the subjects are subjected to a playful experience after determining their lack of training in basic geometry, the student interacts with technologies where the flat image is projected through augmented reality in a three-dimensional figure, at the end of the subject evidence of their learning through a playful, in this way it is verified that the student identifies attributes and properties of three-dimensional objects related to elements of their environment. Finally, it is observed that augmented reality makes the child more disposed towards learning, because "curiosity" increases the interest in knowledge, this type of activity contributes to attenuate the monotony in education.
