Abstract

This article outlines the current situation of vocational guidance for students with intellectual disabilities from the educational process itself, starting from the improvement of special education, which requires the consolidation of the current conception of occupational education and vocational guidance. in the conditions of special education, it comprises two essential aspects, the deepening of the process of continuity of study, transit and graduation and the strengthening of the strategy of professional orientation and job preparation, which shows the need for its approach from research. The aforementioned indicates that the educational process of students with intellectual disabilities faces today a great challenge, to achieve transformations in the quality of the graduate, based on requirements, that allow organizing professional orientation in the search for actions in preparing students for the practice of a trade, taking into account the characteristics, their interests and their motivations.
