Abstract

ROJAS OBALLE, Víctor Raúl; ZETA VITE, Adolfo  and  JIMENEZ CHINGA, Regina. Digital competences in a Peruvian public university. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp.125-130.  Epub Dec 02, 2020. ISSN 2519-7320.

The purpose of the article is to communicate the findings on the state of the digital competences of teachers and students of a Faculty of Business Sciences in a public university in Peru. A questionnaire on digital competences was applied to 28 teachers and 261 enrolled students. Five dimensions and 21 competencies were observed, applying the theoretical and methodological proposal of the Common Framework for Teaching Digital Competence (DIGCOMP), which proposes that digital competencies are configured by: information, communication, content creation, security, problem solving. The instrument was contextualized, calculating the Cronbach's alpha reliability index of 0.974 in the teacher segment and 0.868 in the student segment. The results show that teachers have a degree of development of basic-level digital skills, with the competence of creating content being the one that contributes the most at that level. In the case of students, it is appreciated that they reach an intermediate level, being the competence solves problems, the one with the greatest mastery.
