Abstract

ZAMBRANO ACOSTA, Edward Nilson. Interculturality and musical education in Colombia. Notes for a classroom project. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp. 258-266.  Epub Dec 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

Among the orientations of education policy in Colombia is the need to strengthen the intercultural perspective of education in order to contribute to the configuration of national identity as a synthesis and crossover of cultural differences. In this effort, the potential of music for these purposes is recognized, above all, if it is assumed as an alternative for fostering music education and preserving the sound and rhythmic world of ethnic groups and indigenous peoples in cultural practices and thus contributing to the knowledge and enjoyment of traditional music as a heritage and legacy for new generations.

Keywords : Musical education; traditional music; interculturality.
