Abstract

KASUMOVA, Konul. Tradition and innovation in modern Russian women's literature. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp.407-415.  Epub Dec 02, 2020. ISSN 2519-7320.

The article is devoted to the new Russian literature. The focus is on the work of popular women writers. “Women's” literature is analyzed in the context of the history of Russian literature, which allows us to discover traditional and innovative principles. Specifically, the article examines the works of such modern Russian writers as Kucherskaya and Petrushevskaya. The work of these writers cannot go beyond the framework of those humanistic traditions, the foundations of which were laid by the great Russian prose of the 19th century. In the works analyzed, women's fates occupy a central place, but they are revealed against the broad background of modern culture.

Keywords : Russian literature; women's literature; tradition; innovation; postmodernism.
