RODRIGUEZ PIMENTEL DE GUDINO, Roxana. Qualitative analysis of oral reports from Río Lagarto. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp. 432-435.  Epub Dec 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

The aim of the article is to highlight the importance of the preservation of oral accounts as part of the cultural and linguistic heritage. The methodology used was qualitative. A sample of students from the Río Lagarto community was used to identify the storytellers and then interview them. and also to obtain a graphic representation as a mental map of the listeners, in this case 8-year-old children, who were in the third grade of primary education. The selected informants were adults over 18 years of age, and the following criteria were used for the selection of the participants in this study: having the ability to narrate (storytelling), wanting to participate in the narrative, and being motivated to tell stories. Incognito recording was used with the use of a digital recorder. A considerable number of storytellers were detected, a great interest in participating and the motivation of the listeners to listen and draw the oral stories was observed. In most stories, the vast majority of the characters in traditional stories are male and few female.
