CUEVA GAIBOR, Diego Abraham. Digital transformation in today's university. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.77, pp. 483-489.  Epub Dec 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

Today's University plays an important role in the development of innovation in any advanced economy. We are in the era of knowledge and globalization, in which technological changes are taking place at great speed, which involve new processes of harmony in society. In this permanent challenge, it is necessary to adapt to the new times and, in particular, to promote adaptation to change in the university context. The University, therefore, must permanently reinvent itself in order to better respond to the challenges of an ever-changing environment and implied adopting the reality of a digital world. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to technological advances, develop them, assume them, and be also more active in the university innovation strategy. It is about promoting digital innovation in which information and communication technologies (ICTs) are key tools to promote the education sector to solve part of the challenges of society. However, not all Latin American universities have promoted technological integration and its benefits. The objective of this article is to assess from a holistic perspective how this transformation has been in the Latin American university environment. To fulfill the objective, the document analysis method was used to assess the subject in depth.
