Abstract

VEYTIA BUCHELI, María Guadalupe. The argumentative structure in postgraduate students from virtual forums. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.78, pp.234-239.  Epub Feb 02, 2021. ISSN 2519-7320.

The use of Information and Communication Technologies is increasingly common in the educational field, even more so when working at the Higher Education level, and is a fundamental resource in the virtual modality, where it is possible to establish communication both synchronously and asynchronously. One of the most used tools is the Virtual Forum, which favors the development of an argumentative structure, based on answering the initial question, as well as the interactions generated with group participants. That is why the objective of the work is to identify the importance of the argumentative structure in online graduate students, based on their work in the forums. A mixed study was carried out, with a population of 40 graduate students, who take a quarterly subject and participate in 3 forums. Among the main findings is the increase in participation both in quantity and quality, the importance that the foundation of their arguments acquires and the reply to their peers, where the importance of collaboration in the construction of knowledge is evident.
