ESPINOZA, Joel and MONTES, Ramona. Efficacy of the technique of inhibition of muscle tone and abnormal movement patterns in children with neurological disorders. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.78, pp.240-245. Epub Feb 02, 2021. ISSN 2519-7320.
This research aims to assess the effectiveness of the technique of inhibition of muscle tone and abnormal movement patterns (bobath method) in children with neurological disorders through a review of the scientific literature. Its methodology is a review of the scientific literature where we seek to demonstrate the effectiveness of the bobath method, showing that it is an effective treatment in the rehabilitation of children with neurological disorders, enhancing its effect when used as therapy. In addition, its application increases the speed, quality and capacity to walk; improves motor control in extremities, muscle tone, balance, motor functions; and achieves greater independence in activities of daily living. Thus, it is concluded that positive results and important benefits can be evidenced.
