La presente ponencia es el resultado de un proyecto de investigación desarrollado en la Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes UNIANDES-Quevedo para atender la problemática que existen en los estudiantes de General Básica Superior de la Unidad educativa INSUTEC a resolver matrices responde a la siguiente problemática ¿De qué manera la información puede facilitar la resolución de operaciones con matrices? El trabajo tiene como objetivo general elaborar un Software educativo para la enseñanza y aprendizaje de operaciones con matrices para los estudiantes del bachillerato. Se desplego todo un proceso investigativo a través de diversos métodos tales como: la observación, inductivo - deductivo, analítico - sintético, modelo sistémico y las técnicas utilizadas como la encuesta y entrevistas donde el resultado más significativo sobre el software educativo, insertado en la Educación General Básica Superior de la unidad educativa de la ciudad de Quevedo, como herramienta interactiva de ayuda a los estudiantes sobre el entendimiento de las operaciones con matrices y a los docentes del área de Matemáticas a realizar la transferencia de conocimiento de una manera asertiva, logrando así un aprendizaje cognitivo en los estudiantes. En la ingeniería de software se aplicó el modelo de desarrollo en Espiral, que dio una gran ventaja para estar en constante mejora del producto.

This paper is the result of a research project developed at the Universidad Regional Autonoma de los Andes UNIANDES-Quevedo to address the problems that exist in the students of Basic General Superior of the Educational Unit INSUTEC to solve matrices responds to the following problem How can information facilitate the resolution of operations with matrices? The general objective of this work is to develop educational software for teaching and learning operations with matrices for high school students. A whole research process was deployed through various methods such as: observation, inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic, systemic model and techniques used as the survey and interviews where the most significant result about the educational software, inserted in the General Basic Higher Education of the educational unit of the city of Quevedo, as an interactive tool to help students on the understanding of operations with matrices and teachers of the area of Mathematics to perform the transfer of knowledge in an assertive way, thus achieving a cognitive learning in students. In software engineering, the Spiral development model was applied, which gave a great advantage to be in constant improvement of the product.
