The work addresses the analysis of the term overcoming seen from the conception of different researchers. Some of the potentialities of ecuadorian university today are needed to address the challenges before it and in the face of society. There is also a theoretical approach to the process of overcoming lawyers and lawyers based on the identification of their main needs and demands for professional growth and the different ways and times when it is contextualized. Consideration is given to those prioritized segments that require that from the university the improvement is projected. The analysis of the definition of the term overcoming and university pedagogical practice allows this work to present an approximation to the process of overcoming in the Ecuadorian University since the modeling of this process where guidelines for its projection and organization, organizational forms, modalities and the socio-legal context where the improvement itself is realized.
