The use of social networks in teaching, given the current conditions in which we find ourselves, is a necessity, thus the main objective of the research was to determine the intrinsic factors that arise from the use of WhatsApp in mathematics in students. Fifth grade secondary school students from the Huancavelica region. The study was carried out at a descriptive transectional level, with a sample of 55, applying a questionnaire to students from the La Victoria de Ayacucho Educational Institution, in the Huancavelica region, Peru. The methodology for the analysis of the results was carried out through multivariate techniques of exploratory factor analysis and cluster. It was obtained that three factors underlie the use of WhatsApp in mathematics in students of the fifth grade of secondary education in the Huancavelica region, the predominant factor being the exchange of information between students and teacher-student within the teaching and learning process of mathematics through remote work.
