The rights of children and adolescents represents a sensitive sector of work that the state must protect because it represents a vulnerable sector. Although there are currently policies created for adequate protection, there are actions that cause or may cause damage to the integrity or physical, psychological or sexual health of a child or adolescent. In this sense, demanding compliance with public policies for the comprehensive protection of the rights of all minors in the Ecuadorian state is a priority task. This research carries out a study on the protection of children and adolescents in Ecuador in cases of violence. A characterization of the main manifestations of child violence is carried out and a summary of the current legal framework is presented. To empirically verify the problems addressed by this research, a survey was conducted aimed at knowing the incidence and impact on the population group on the object of study.
