Abstract

ABREGU SAENZ, Ana Lucía; MEJIA ALVAREZ, Flor Zannethe  and  RUIZ RUIZ, Marcos Fernando. Attitudes of religious schools students from lima (Peru) regarding gender equality. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.83, pp. 451-461.  Epub Dec 10, 2021. ISSN 1990-8644.

This study presents the analysis of the degree of attitude towards gender equality of 449 primary and secondary school students from private and religious schools in Lima (Peru). The IMB SPSS Statistics V23 program was used for data processing and analysis. The results showed moderately favorable student attitudes and a mostly adaptive profile, i.e., maintaining a politically correct position but showing signs of inequality in social discourse. Additionally, there was a statistically significant difference between the means of the scale between men and women; where the latter presented lower scores that bring them closer to a sexist attitude. Finally, the data indicated that both sexes present significant deficits on the sociocultural level.

Keywords : Student attitude; sex education; gender; religious education.
