Abstract

ESTEBAN RIVERA, Edwin Roger; PINERO MARTIN, María Lourdes; ROJAS COTRINA, Amancio Ricardo  and  CALLUPE BECERRA, Sonia Fiorella. Training investigation in the accreditation models of university programs in Peru. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.83, pp. 469-476.  Epub Dec 10, 2021. ISSN 1990-8644.

Society increasingly demands that universities comply with their guiding principles: academic development, research and social responsibility. Faced with this demand, almost all the countries of the world have implemented mechanisms for universities to fulfill their roles, one of these mechanisms is accreditation. The accreditation of university programs is a form of regulation, through the accreditation models it is sought that universities meet certain standards. This paper analyzes how formative research is approached in the quality models of the Peruvian university system, for this purpose we opted for the qualitative methodological perspective, specifically documentary research. In the past, Peru established two quality models for the accreditation of professional careers, the first model came into force in 2009 and explicitly mentions formative research, in addition, it provides guidelines on how it should be developed in the programs; meanwhile, the second, in force since 2016, addresses it implicitly. It is concluded that both models consider that the teaching and learning process must be articulated with research, technological development, innovation and social responsibility, in order to guarantee the comprehensive training of students.
