Abstract

The objective of this study was to characterize the development of investigative skills in students of a Peruvian university. For this, the research was developed based on the dimensions: i) knowledge of the scientific research process, ii) search skills; and iii) attitudes and values in research. The study has a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, basic type and descriptive level. The sample consisted of 88 students from the specialties of Biology, Computer Science and Mathematics, from the ninth and tenth cycle of the regular regime of the National University of Education, located in Lima, Peru, between the periods 2021-I and 2021-II selected through an intentional or convenience non-probabilistic sampling to which a Likert scale-type questionnaire was applied; the data obtained were organized and analyzed with Microsoft Excel, considering the variable and its dimensions.
