Abstract

This research is carried out with the aim of demonstrating the effectiveness of health education for the prevention of oral diseases. For this purpose, a study was carried out through motivational and instructive meetings at the "Matilde" Shelter House, a temporary shelter for mothers and their children who were victims of domestic violence. As a first step of the study, each mother was given a questionnaire on oral health education, then they underwent lectures on the subject and finally the same forms were applied again, in order to statistically analyze whether the oral health education classes had an influence on the answers.
