The present work addresses a topic of interest in the framework of research regarding the active participation of teachers and students of the Municipal University Center (CUM) of Cumanayagua, with the local government and its territorial responsibility from the management of knowledge and innovation. in local development, in order to integrate knowledge into the Municipal Development Strategy in the projection of economic and social development and demonstrate the transformations that can be made from higher education to promote the development of the territory. In this sense, the purpose of the work is to expose the experiences of the CUM of Cumanayagua as a manager of sustainable local development, for a greater relevance of the university in the municipality.
