The students of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Morón manifest insufficiencies in the solution in an independent and leading way, of problems that emerge from their comprehensive professional training process. There are multiple investigations that focus on the educational autonomy; however, it lacks contributing results on how to contribute to its development in the training process of Medicine students. The foregoing justifies the present work that aims to characterize the current state of student autonomy in the professional training process of the Medicine career of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Morón, whose results are key in the proposals for improvements. A longitudinal diagnostic panel study was carried out with 30 medical students whose measurements passed from the first year of the degree to the first semester of the second year. They also constituted units of analysis, the pedagogical group of the year and the guide teacher. In the investigative process, it was confirmed that there are insufficiencies in student autonomy that are manifested in the fulfillment of the activities planned in the comprehensive projects of educational work, an issue that affects their comprehensive professional training.
