Abstract

From an analysis of the implementation of distance education in Cuban universities and considering its development from its first implementation to date in other countries, elements are obtained that allow reviewing the application of this type of teaching at the University of Cienfuegos. With this analysis and with the experience of several years of work in this form of teaching, proposals for changes in the implementation and in the methodologies used by managers and teachers are formulated, the fundamental stages are proposed when implementing it, it is also suggested the creation of an educational and pedagogical model to obtain the best results in the training of the expected professional. It argues about the objectives of the methodological work of the center in terms of this type of teaching and proposes how to provide the student with a guide for their independent study.
