The present study was based on pedagogical research framed in the educational teaching process of the Didactic subject of the History of Cuba at the University Headquarters. Conrado Benítez of the municipality of Cienfuegos in the period 2021-2022. The work has as its fundamental objective : to reflect on the determinants on which the educational teaching process of local history should be based in the context of Primary Education for the development of a local culture for the sake of the professionalization of future graduates of the Bachelor of Primary Education career.The concption imply for the authors concentrate in a renewal methodology diferent that was directed to the setting in practices of way that underpin the understanding of material historic for part of students so as exercise a greater influence in the takes of positions and of identidy
The implementation of the scientific proposal offers a series of demonstrative results that it is possible and necessary to guide the path of the development of the local culture in these future education professionals; At the same time, it tries to stimulate reflection on the subject in students, primary school teachers and primary teacher training contexts. Hence the need to promote local history. It is concluded that the particularities of the teaching of local history in the context of primary teacher training require a different approach based essentially on achieving a more dynamic and innovative student, who is capable of achieving the educational quality that is expected.
