Abstract

DAVILA MORAN, Roberto Carlos et al. Employment of Google meet and university education in students of a private university of Arequipa. Conrado [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.88, pp. 181-190.  Epub Oct 30, 2022. ISSN 1990-8644.

The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between the use of Google Meet as a platform for virtual education and university education in students from a private university in Arequipa. The study was basic type, correlational descriptive level, quantitative approach and non-experimental design. From the operational context, it was defined through the Google Meet variable and its ease of use, usefulness and impact dimensions, as well as the university education variable and its teaching, learning and evaluation dimensions. The population and the sample were the same, being constituted by 40 students of the last cycle of the industrial engineering career of a private university in Arequipa. For data collection, a questionnaire with 28 questions related to variables and dimensions was used, where each question was designed with five response alternatives according to a Likert-type scale, which was sent to students virtually. The findings obtained were studied from the descriptive field, through the calculation of absolute and relative frequencies, while the inferential analysis was carried out with the application of Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient, to establish the existing relationship between the variables and dimensions.
