DE JESUS SEVILLANO, Leonor Narcisa; VINTIMILLA BURGOS, Napoleón Patricio  and  MURILLO SEVILLANO, Idalia Marlene. Virtual and hybrid education. Considerations from the university of Guayaquil. Conrado [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.88, pp. 229-235.  Epub Oct 30, 2022. ISSN 1990-8644.

The dynamics of transformations and complexities of today's society, driven by previous processes, shows its most significant consequences in the modern context. Educational models based on hybrid education are the product of the combination of traditional models based on attendance and those based on the intensive use of Information and Communications Technologies, incorporating the latest scientific and technological advances together, dialectic that guarantees its continuity as an important source of knowledge and stimulation of abilities and skills in emergency conditions. The considerations that are presented have the purpose of analyzing the correspondence between hybrid education, (based on traditional methods and those that use ICT), with the principles, concepts and theories already built about education, pedagogy and didactic. The study uses the qualitative paradigm supported by methods at the theoretical, historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive levels. The results synthesize strengths and weaknesses of education according to the traditional modality supported in the preceding theoretical-practical construction, which is articulated with relevant aspects of hybrid education for the assimilation and novel construction of knowledge.
