The presence of the Internet generated changes in journalistic languages ​​and introduced hypermedia journalism as a communicative variant. These changes are reflected in the training curricula of universities to respond to the demands of the current context and the demand for professional skills that guarantee the journalism. The beginning of Plan E in the journalism careers in Cuba expands the possibilities of responding to contextual problems in the territories. Based on the need to form communicative competence for hypermedia journalism, the objective of the work is to design actions to form communicative competence for hypermedia journalism. Theoretical and empirical methods were applied where analytical-synthetic and grounded theory stand out, used to obtain data and the theoretical construction of the different moments of the article. Among the main results are: the process of construction of the concept of communicative competence for hypermedia journalism and the proposal of interdisciplinary and transversal actions in the study plan for the formation of communicative competence for hypermedia journalism.
