Industry 4.0 innovation in the stream of intelligent companies delves into the profile of the innovative teacher as a cultural mediator of educational innovation. But what factors are linearly associated with the profile of the innovative teacher? A study under the positivist paradigm and the scientific method: it explores, describes and correlates the research variables arranged in a construct of theories, concepts and applied studies. The subject of study is the full-time, part-time and part-time teachers of the Catholic University of Cuenca-Ecuador with a population of 871 teachers. The sample size is calculated with a critical value of 1.96 considering a confidence level interval corresponding to 2 standard deviations. It is found that autonomy; empathy, persuasion and knowledge; critical and reflective thinking; and creativity and leadership are correlated with the innovative teaching profile and are opportunities for improvement.
