This article presents an experience of methodological work that deepens in the preparation of the professors for the use of the class encounter. Its objective, consists on proposing a didactic conception for the class encounter in function of the improvement of the formation of the university professionals. The same one, considers among other aspects the character of system of the planning; the external structure of the class; the didactic functions, the fundamental activities of this class type, the logical relationships of the content and the appropriate combination with other organization forms and types of classes, as well as the employment of procedures, actions and operations characteristic of the method of independent work. The design of the proposal was it demanded the employment of theoretical methods as the historical-logical one, the analytic-synthetic one and the inductive-deductive one; and of empiric methods as the observation, the interview in depth and the systematizing of experiences.
