Within the framework of the Improvement of the National System of Education, this article offers the results of the work of a group of researchers of Environmental Education in the Pedagogical Sciences specifically the area of the humanities. It provides philosophical, methodological and ethical foundations that support Environmental Education in the teaching process of Political Culture, with an integrative didactic conception, with a holistic view of its treatment, taking into account the improvement in the new programs and the new book that is made. The political, economic and social importance of the problematic imposes the challenge of incorporating all the knowledge, to preserve our sovereignty, and national identity. The contents of the course Political Culture has many potentialities for the treatment of environmental issues, as long as they incorporate a new sense of humanism, based on sensitizing man to his responsibility in the interrelationship between Culture and Environment. This article intends to expose necessary foundations to the scientific community, while offering proposals of solution for its implementation in the learning process of the Political Culture contributing cognitive nodes that constitute essential knowledge to understand the reality of our time.
