Abstract

In Colombian the family is the fundamental nucleus society, it is a subject of universal and interdisciplinary study, for being an educational and socializing agent of the child, therefore nothing that happens internally or around it is alien to it; at the birth of a child with physical motor disability, it causes a negative psychosocial impact and, at the same time, generates uncertainty about their future and that of their own family. From school guidance, it is seen that the family has difficulties in the acceptance of disability, in the assertive management of affectivity, the parenting patterns, the ability to overcome adversity, among others, therefore, highlights the great relevance to reflect as a society, in the absence of real policies and actions that provide comprehensive guidance to these families; As a result, there is an urgent need to have a permanent program that provides them with adequate tools to face their new condition, know how to do it and have the permanent support of specialized personnel in the subject, which guarantees psychological, emotional and pedagogical resources, family, spiritual, social, among others, to strengthen their self-esteem, the overall growth and well-being of each of its members.
