Abstract

GALVEZ GONZALEZ, Ana María et al. Cuba-France Workshop on Health and Medical Interventions. Infodir [online]. 2022, n.39  Epub Dec 01, 2022. ISSN 1996-3521.

The workshop "Evaluation of health and medical interventions: cross perspectives in the fight against cancer and COVID-19" was held on February 21-23, 2022. Its objective was to analyze the experiences of health evaluation and medical intervention in the fight against cancer and COVID-19 in Cuba, France and other contexts. The scientific program was organized by the University of Strasbourg, the National School of Public Health and the Center for Molecular Immunology. It was accredited by the teaching secretariat of the National School of Public Health and took place in the classroom and virtual modalities. Four panels were held during the workshop: health system and epidemiological transitions, therapeutic innovation and equity, experience of complex intervention in oncology and primary health care and interdisciplinary methodology for the evaluation of medical and health interventions. A fruitful debate was established and interesting contributions were made on the experiences of health evaluation and medical intervention in the fight against cancer and COVID-19. Visits were made to Cuban health institutions. During the closing ceremony, the coordinators expressed their gratitude for the hospitality of the sponsoring venues and institutions visited, the scientific rigor of the presentations and the quality of the interventions. Goals were set for the continuity of the exchange and spaces for discussion were identified for future conventions.
