Abstract

GONZALEZ CUETO, Omar et al. Analysis of researches to model agricultural soil compaction. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.2, pp.70-74. ISSN 2071-0054.

The soil compaction caused by the machinery traffic is a problem that affects the areas of crop production. The soil compaction modeling allows to implement strategies of soil and machinery management. The objective of this paper is to analyze the main characteristics of the methods used to model soil compaction. The results show that the most precise method for soil compaction modeling is the Finite Elements Method. The models for simulation of the soil compaction differ from those developed to simulate the performance of tires or the vehicle because in contact modeling, the tire is not generally simulated; and the effect of the pressure is only simulated on soil area with conditions established beforehand.

Keywords : traffic; machinery; production; management.
