Abstract

FLEITES RODRIGUEZ, Leydi Laura. Methodology for a textual analysis of abstracts translation of scientific papers published in Agricultural Technical Sciences Journal. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2011, vol.20, n.4, pp.75-78. ISSN 2071-0054.

This paper is aimed at proposing a methodology for a textual analysis of abstracts translation of scientific papers published in  Agricultural Technical Sciences Journal. The most frequent difficulties in the writing and translation of those abstracts were analyzed. Professionals and investigators´ linguistic and communicative needs in the field of Agricultural Engineering were identified too. Researchers and/or professionals can send their papers by email from different places. It is hard to design a training plan for them in which translation, style and writing aspects can be included but it is really important to train these researchers on these topics. The advance of new technologies and the mentioned methodology as digital tools facilitate the comprehension of sources written in a foreign language as well as improve the quality of scientific papers published in Agricultural Technical Sciences Journal.

Keywords : linguistic; communicative; need; Agricultural Engineering.
