Abstract
CARMENATES HERNANDEZ, Dayma et al. Influence of the quality of the irrigation water in the obturations of the emitters in Ciego de Avila. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.1, pp.36-38. ISSN 2071-0054.
The present work was done at the analytical chemistry laboratory of Agricultural Science Faculty at University of Ciego de Ávila, with the objective of determining the influence of the quality of the irrigation water in the obturations of the emitters in Ciego de Avila. They took samples of water from different wells located at the bigger productive Companies of the province. The results indicated that the total of dissolved salts ( TDS ) are superior to 500 mg per L, the values of pH oscillate between 7 and 8, hardness is superior to 50 ºF. In all cases the irrigation water is considered very hard, that brings along risks of obturations of chemical nature in the microirrigation system´s emitters.
