Abstract

The farm tractor is the main source of power within a production unit. So for users of agricultural machinery, is a priority to have mechanisms to provide security to the end user or farmer in the operation and quality of tractors, for this the aim of this is to show the evolution of the normalization and certification of agricultural machinery in Mexico, impacts and trends, with a description of concepts and international organizations that have been referred to Mexico as well as the description of activities and OCIMA CENEMA. For this we took statistical data definitions and models of tractors amount of certificates, number of certificates granted on OCIMA protection structures, number of tractors and implements certified tractor Dictaminaciones unfavorable, by multiple sectors. As a result of the certification of agricultural machinery was obtained until June 2013, there are 76 certified tractors with a power to "drive" that ranges from 18,3 to 130 hp. Finally it should be noted that the purpose of OCIMA is to support and endorse the farmer met with Mexican standards (NMX) and specifications to ensure the good performance of his team.
