Abstract

HERRERA PRAT, Mario Ignacio; GARCIA DE LA FIGAL COSTALES, Armando Eloy; DE LAS CUEVAS MILAN, Héctor  and  MARTINS TEIXEIRA, Mauri. The diffuser of the fan and the airflow of an agricultural sprayer. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.1, pp. 12-16. ISSN 2071-0054.

The airflow of agricultural sprayer is one of the causes of loss drift in equipment for pest control in studies seeks to achieve greater efficiency in the airflow and thus reduce environmental pollution. In forming the air flow involved geometric and kinematic parameters of the fan, which modify the aerodynamics thereof. The width of the diffuser to the fan outlet is an important parameter in the design flow aerodynamics, as it decides directly in the formation of this and scope. The paper analyzed using computer simulation (CFD), the effect of varying the width of the diffuser in the fan exhaust air flow aerodynamics during work at different speeds of movement of the sprayer. Output widths assessments were carried out in the diffuser fan 115 and 150 mm, considering the sprayer without movement and speeds of 2,18; 4,5 and 6,35 km / h, as the response variables and scope deviation airflow through the interpretation of the analyzed speed graphics. He reached conclusions about the influence of the width of output aerodynamic diffuser airflow and the most rational of this value and operating parameters of the sprayer.
