Abstract

This work is part of the project to revise and update the curriculum of the Educational Program of Agricultural Mechanical Engineering with a frequency between 4 and 5 years was performed for the reaccreditation before the Council for Accreditation of Engineering Education AC (CACEI) and is based on the progress of existing and prospective knowledge of agricultural engineering, as well as new trends and pedagogical approaches needed in the XXI century. Guiding documentaries diagnostic studies Chapingo (UACh), Secretary of Public Education (SEP), the National Association of Universities and Institutions of Higher Education (ANUIES), UNESCO, FAO, among others, and surveys were conducted and opinions of employers, alumni, faculty and students of the race itself. The results provide a new graduate profile based on competency-based approach, a new curriculum map with the addition of new content, introducing semester’s integration projects that guarantee the efficiency of qualification, and the inclusion of comprehensive training within the curriculum, among other novel aspects.
