Abstract

OCANA PEREZ, Galia  and  RAMOS CALA, Alain. Gender Potentiation Index (GPI) at Territorial Scale for Guantanamo. Cofin [online]. 2016, vol.10, n.2, pp.144-159. ISSN 2073-6061.

The object of the research titled Gender Potentiation Index (GPI) Determination at Territorial Level for Guantanamo, was to determine the Gender Potentiation territorial Index by measuring it in Guantánamo province. The reason of GPI is to measure the relatives achievements reached regarding the generation of incomes, the participation in professional and technical works and, also the measuring of the percentages of parliamentary positions in a country. This result could influence in the reality of a national space and to help the establishment of policies more appropriate to the concrete realities of a territory. Methods used were historical and logical, analysis and synthesis, hypothetical and deductive, as well as observation.
