Abstract

DIAZ DIAZ, Frank  and  CASTRO AREVALO, Ariel Lázaro. Pedagogical Requirements for a Virtual Learning Environment. Cofin [online]. 2017, vol.11, n.1, pp. 1-13. ISSN 2073-6061.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) made easier the development of Distance Education (DE), as they increased its extension to more people and offered new tools to teachers; but they also forced people to think about how to use them for achieving their formative objectives. This paper is the result of an ongoing research, where we see that for developing the teaching-learning process in a virtual environment it is necessary to have a methodological strategy and an instructional design that responds to this strategy and which exploits the operative qualities proposed by a platform like Moodle for the elaboration of efficient instructional modules according to Distance Education qualities.

Keywords : learning virtual environments; instructional design; distance education; educational strategies; methodological tools,; instructional Module; Moodle Platform.
