Abstract

Evolution of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Cuba has been closely connected with changes made to the system of economic organization and management, and to business system. Technology and the extent to which computers have been effectively and efficiently used in business management from their devising until the present day have changed very much. This piece of research has identified six stages of development of the way computers have been used; features and special characteristics of such stages are examined as well. We are still passing through the last stage which allows the way of using ICT, and valid property to be linked. Here, ICT are considered as an industry. Ways of better using them for economic purposes are also examined.
