Corporate social responsibility is becoming more and more evident in the realm of finance through socially responsible investing, increased impact investing, sustainable and ethical banking, microcredit, sustainable stock exchange indexes, and recognized finance and sustainability initiatives. This work hast two parts. Part I systematizes, in this article, major theories of finance, banking, and sustainable development.
