Since its emergence, the university has been transformed as society has developed. The training of human resources and the generation of products, technologies and other intangibles were modernized in all branches of knowledge. The relevance with the approach of curricula, scientific research and technology transfer to the needs of the economy and society, accentuates its role in the transformation of society. The economic-financial management that supports university processes is also being transformed. The objective of this work is to systematize and identify the necessary transformations in the economic activity of Cuban universities, due to the impact of the new policies approved, particularly for science, technology and innovation, and others of an economic nature.
