The scientific investigation constitutes one of the foundations in which the comprehensive formation of the students of the medical sciences is sustained. To perceive through its formation the importance to foment the bases of the scientific knowledge when facing and giving solution to health problems with a deep, ethical and irrefutable thought, it allows to graduate a more qualified and upright personnel with conceptions and perspectives that enlarge their horizon when facing the responsibility they should assume. This bibliographical review carries out an appropriate interpretation of the importance that the scientific investigation has in the constant work that the professionals of this branch develop.
