The environmental education of architecture students is a process that prepares them to be competent in creating and transforming of architectonic and urbane spaces, on the bases of an ecological awareness and a sound understanding of the environmental problems of the profession. The article approaches the environmental education of architects as a component of professional development and is aimed at fostering Environmental Professional Competencies (CPA) by means of a training. On the bases of the devise theoretical framework modelling was used to design the environmental professional competency strategy from a comprehensive systemic perspective. The main finding is precisely the afore mentioned strategy.
