The aim is to describe and interpret backgrounds on the national and international trends in Business Management Systems, mainly in their integration.The methodology considered the reviewing and analysis of access online publications, indexed data base and others of the Web of Science to identify those aspects of interest to consider to undertake the creation of a single management system. The main findings indicate that the conceptualization of what is understood by Integrated Management System is heterogeneous.We have proposed several levels of integration depending on the degree of progress reached by the companies and the majority of the research on the subject are focused on the Eurozone, mainly by Spaniards.An analysis of the certification status of enterprise systems in Cuba is added and concludes on the need to strengthen integration in all business.
