Abstract

GONZALEZ ZAMBRANO, José Adolfo  and  IGLESIAS LEON, Miriam. The conception of a curricular interdisciplinary proposal: a vision from the biochemistry subject in the medicine major at the university of Guayaquil. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.1, pp. 7-12. ISSN 2218-3620.

The article presents the conception and structure of the Biochemistry subject in the curriculum of the basic cycle of the Medicine Major in Ecuador. It also presents a proposal based on the interrelations existing among the systems of knowledge, skills and values, as key elements to analyze the interdisciplinary relations existing between Biochemistry and other subjects belonging to the basic cycle of the Medicine major. The main methodological steps to implement the proposal are also provided. Thus, the proposal is conceived fostering and developing interdisciplinary links in the programs of the different disciplines, taking as starting point the logical and psychological elements of each subject, and its insertion into the contents of the other disciplines, and the major curriculum in general. The proposal shows its viability and effectiveness through its application on the improvement of the subject design in the Medicine Major at the University of Guayaquil.
