Abstract

SOLER GONZALEZ, Rafael H; MARTINEZ CASANOVA, Lourdes María  and  ONATE ANDINO, Alejandra. Competence in uncertainty. Study case: professors of engineering of the administration school. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.1, pp. 122-129. ISSN 2218-3620.

The assessment of professors from the Administration School from Chimborazo Polytechnic (ESPOCH) is made by deterministic methods that show the results without exposing the causes of the deficiencies. Regarding the competence for Ecuadorian professors of Higher Education it was carried out an analysis using tools from the Fuzzy Logic, with the purpose of assessing the uncertainty, that the deterministic methods do not take into account. The results of this research led to obtain an assessment of the educators by means of the competence, to refute the use of deterministic methods for this assessment and to take better strategies for the improvement of the academy in the FADE.

Keywords : Competence; deterministic methods; fuzzy logic.
