ARTEAGA VALDES, Eloy; ARMADA ARTEAGA, Lisdaynet  and  DEL SOL MARTINEZ, Jorge Luis. Teaching science in the new millennium. Challenges and suggestions. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2016, vol.8, n.1, pp. 169-176. ISSN 2218-3620.

The science education in the new millennium requires deep transformation from elementary education to university education but not the adaptive style, but the innovative style, so that the teacher ceases to be a mere transmitter of knowledge and already finished aware that their role is to create opportunities for students to produce and build knowledge, feel the pleasure and satisfaction of their discovery, using the same methods as the scientist in your daily work. The teaching of science has an absolute duty to prepare man for life and this is achieved not only by providing knowledge, but developing methods and learning strategies that enable the pursuitof knowledge from problem situations taken from the environment, where it can appreciate the broad possibilities for application of science in life.
