Abstract

The papers offers ideas that reflect the contribution of the Cuban pedagogical ideas to the role of the development of independent work in the integral formation of the human being. These ideas re-affirm the foundations of Cuban education nowadays in respect to its wide conception, everyone´s right to be educated, and the role of the teacher in the developmental teaching-learning process, as well as the role of the student in its own process of development.
