The debate on the perspective of gender in the law not is a made new. The human and environmental dimensions of development are intertwined by a set of actions and social relations that they affect the natural system, and in turn the effects of environmental changes exert influence on populations. The 50% of the global population, women, who have a major involvement in reproduction and in the creation of tangible property, represent that which makes an imperative to consider their participation in economic and social development and consequently on environmental issues. With this paper we intend to do a sketch about the evolution that has been thinking about women, feminist theories and the rights recognized in international conventions, which propose an integrated approach to the mujeres-medio interaction environment, as a strategy for economic and social development with a gender perspective.
